Q1: My car is still under the manufacturer’s warranty; can I still use Ashwell Motors to save on costs?

Yes you can. New laws now allow us to complete annual service requirements at a fraction of the cost of a main dealer without invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty.

OE parts are always used and manufacturer’s schedules followed.

Q2: When should I change my engine oil?

It largely depends on how you drive.  If you do a lot of short journeys and ‘around town’ driving, we recommend oil changes every 6000 miles.  In general oil changes should be carried out every 10-12,000 miles.

Q2: Are you able to stamp my service history book and reset the service interval light?

Yes we are able to stamp your service history book and reset the service indicator.

Q3: Do you carry out MOT inspections in-house or take them elsewhere to have their MOT test? Also what happens if my car fails the MOT test?

We are a VOSA approved MOT station and carry out in-house MOT inspections.

In the event that your vehicle fails the MOT, you have a choice. We can provide you with a competitive quote and you can leave it with us for the repairs or you can take your vehicle away and get it repaired at another garage of your choice.

Should your vehicle need something simple like bulbs or wipers,  we will simply repair them for you while you wait if requested.

Q4: Am I able to wait whilst my car is with you?

Of course. We have a comfortable waiting area, if you have your laptop you can make use of our wireless broadband or use the computer provided in the waiting room.

We also have deals available at a local coffee shop were you will receive discount while you wait for your car to be repaired

Liverpool one is also in walking distance.

Q5: Would I be able to inspect the dismantled parts from my car?

Yes of course. All parts that have been removed or dismantled from your car can be inspected till the end of the working day.
